Er, and now we, er, seem to have bought a house....

Try to keep up everybody, after all we have been in the country for 5 days now so it was about time we got moving - literally!

Well the news hot off the press is that we've just had an offer on a house accepted! So as long as the solicitors, surveyors, banks etc do their bit, looks like we have a des res for you all to stay in when you get around to visiting.

Sorry we couldn't quite run to the lakeside views or stables but we are overlooking the distinctly turquoise Waikatu River....and we can definitely buy in plenty of chocolate, plus Dave does a mean massage with a pair of wooden spoons. So your visits shouldn't be too dull.

Here's the old shack....
And here's the hideous, carbuncular view from the back of the house:

Try not to hate us too much.

Yeah, about time... I was worrying that you were begining to slack. It only took you 5 hours to get the car - five days to buy a house was pushing it!

Trust Adele to get a house with a blue roof... it looks like it will match your ear rings :-)

The most important question... what's your internet connectivity like at your new place?

okay. that's it.

i've decided to 'minister' in a freakishly gorgeous foreign locale where it seems ridiculously easy to purchase fabulous real estate regardless of being in the country for less than a week.

I mean, is that normal? i've lived in Canada (quite gorgeous in its own right ... and in some parts freakishly so) for 30 some-odd years and i only recently bought a house. it's true! and I've *never* bought a car. (not including the suh-weeet diesel jetta I bought with my student loan in university and subsequently gave to my brother who called it "Go-JID", short for 'Golden Jetta of Impending Doom'. pretty sure that's why it took me so long to buy a house. I mean, they just don't give out student loans that big anymore, you know? )

it's a good thing you guys aren't terrorists because that would show a stunning lack of good judgement on the part of the NZ government. then again, what's there to terrorize in NZ? sheep?

Freakishly gorgeous foreign locale....yep that's a very good way of describing it. What can I say? It's a good thing NZ isn't in the Northern Hemisphere or everyone would be living here. Then what would the sheep do?

On second thought could you find some really awful place in NZ and post those photos... yep, that would be great!
Of course personally I would like to see all view of said domain with interior shots as well but I can wait.

Weel its a bit rubbish though! I mean, I couldn't see the pool or the tennis court from the photo. And forget beautiful surroundings and and a gorgeous house, what about the local ski resort and indian/chinese takeaway! these things are very important..

Seriously, it looks really lovely, almost as nice as our new kitchen, which is having the surfaces put in as I type! I hope you have some fantastic times there, of happiness, relaxation, hospitality and good ole Lovin !!! ( ooh err missus)

It looks FABULOUS!
Delightful, gorgeous, tranquil, restful, a haven of peace and enjoyability... It looks like an Adele and Dave house. I look forward to evenings spent on the deck drinking wine, eating cheese and watching the sunset! : )
